What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with a deep curiosity regardless of the technology stack. You should have a good technical background, particularly working with infrastructure, and a passion for solving technical problems — both for customers, and within the internal engineering team.
The role will be a hybrid across technical support and DevOps responsibilities. As part of the technical support component of the role, you will have the chance to work closely with our customers to get an in-depth understanding of the technical space in which we operate, and the problem areas. You will then use that knowledge to help improve the processes, and technologies used within the engineering team as part of the DevOps component of the role.
What You’ll Do
Technical Support Responsibilities
- Provide support to our Customer Success team in troubleshooting technical issues for our customers across multiple different deployment types, and multiple programming languages. Examples of scenarios include:
- Integration issues in our customer’s applications
- Deployment issues for our self-hosted customers
- Technical faults in our SaaS platform
- Tackle performance and scaling problems for customers deploying Flagsmith in their own infrastructure.
- Answer technical questions and provide hands-on assistance with deployment and integration options for new and prospective customers.
DevOps Engineering Responsibilities
- Help improve and maintain our internal infrastructure processes by implementing new IaC projects, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform maintenance activities across our hosted infrastructures (SaaS and Private Cloud).
- Implement improvements and optimisations across our hosted infrastructures (SaaS and Private Cloud).
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in a Technical Support / SRE / DevOps role
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with demonstrated ability in root cause analysis across multiple technologies
- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, ideally having hands-on experience working with at least one of AWS, Azure or GCP
- Experience working with Kubernetes in a production environment
- Experience working with IaC technologies (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK)
- Understanding of modern software development best practices
- Experience interfacing with customers in a technical setting
Nice to Haves
- Experience writing tested, clean code for a production environment
- Experience working with feature flagging technologies
- Experience with Github Actions or similar CI/CD tooling
